Dr Lusanda Shimange-Matsose attained her medical degree from the University of Pretoria. She went on further to do her postgraduate degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Witwatersrand University (WITS) also completed her Master of Medicine degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She was involved in clinical care in the private and public sector. She lectured undergraduate at the Witwatersrand University (WITS), she also trained registrars in endoscopy, reproductive medicine and supervised MMed degrees. She further went on to do a subspeciality in Reproductive, Endocrine and Infertility Medicine at Steve Biko Academic Hospital, University of Pretoria (UP). She has published in local and international journals and has spoken and chaired at local and international congresses. She is a Specialist Gynaecologist and board certified Reproductive, Endocrine and Infertility Specialist with the College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. She has a special interest in PCOS, fibroid and endometriosis related infertility. She passionately subscribes to holistic care encompassing and improving women’s quality of life and regularly gives talks on women’s health to different stakeholders within her field on interest.
